Polyot Restaurant

Polyot

Polyot is a restaurant interior located in Moscow. The design recalls the setting of a science fiction film. Sleek steel shapes and portholes at the entrance make the space resemble the cabin of a space shuttle. Minimalism is a guiding principle, so patterns and ornaments are absent from the walls and from the design elements. Large shining objects are used instead. Two silver figures, each 3.6 meters tall, stand on symmetric columns at the entrance. All furniture and lighting were custom made for the project.

Port Holiday Home

Port

Port is a holiday home of 201.6 square meters in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, with a view over the harbour. The original two-bedroom layout was changed into three bedrooms so that family and friends can stay comfortably. A wardrobe serves as the wall between two bedrooms, which saves space, adds storage and reduces sound transmission. The living area offers three gathering places: a sofa zone, a dining table and a bar placed at opposite ends. A black tone, a grille ceiling and a black mirror under the beam reduce the visual weight of the low beams, while curved shapes soften the interior.

Mirror Bridge Studio

Mirror Bridge

Studio with Mirror Bridge is an office interior created for a design studio in a ground-floor flat in a 1990s residential neighborhood. The original layout was linear and dark, with one small patio. A twisted vortex of mirror polished stainless steel connects the north and south sides and improves lighting, ventilation and scale. The reflective surface spreads daylight through the interior.
