Minimal Simplicity
Minimal Simplicity is a residential apartment interior in Yilan City, Taiwan. The property measures 116 square meters. The living room and dining room are combined into one public space. Black, white and grey form the main color tones, and wood tones are added for warmth. A square dining table reduces unnecessary use of space and supports face-to-face conversation between family members. Iron elements are combined with wood for a strong visual effect. Diatomaceous earth is used to regulate humidity in the rainy local climate. A Japanese style room sits behind the dining room.
Minimal Simplicity Residential Apartment by Chien Hung Lu has been identified as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards.
