Authentic Eden
Authentic Eden is a residential interior design for a thirty year old villa in Taichung, Taiwan. The home covers about 198 square meters and contains three bedrooms, two living rooms and a study. The villa stands at the back of the community, where the public areas were poor, so the former garage door was turned into the new entrance. Walls between the kitchen, dining room and living room were removed to improve flow and family interaction. Large French windows link the dining room with the yard. Gray and white tones give the interior a calm and orderly character.
Authentic Eden Residence by Wei Tong Chen has been selected as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Authentic Eden Residence won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
