Residence of Yang
Residence of Yang is a residential interior design created within an old house renovation. The layout follows the existing beam and column structure. The television wall and the bookshelf are set close against the wall, which opens the circulation and connects the living room and the dining room. The television wall has an oblique section, so family members in both rooms can share the same screen. White surfaces are combined with natural wood grain. Daylight enters from both sides of the public area, making the interior bright and spacious.
Residence of Yang Residential House by Chen Yan Teng was identified as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Residence of Yang Residential House won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize which celebrates superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
