Natural Flavor
Natural Flavor is a residential interior design for a 158 square meter apartment. The home includes a living room, dining room, kitchen, light bar, open study room, three bedrooms and two washrooms. Natural materials such as engineered flooring, wood blocks, retro bricks and marble create a loft style close to nature. A wall was removed to open the public area, so sunlight enters from three directions. A 45 degree beveled design turns a wasted corner into storage. All doors reach ceiling height to widen and extend the view.
Natural Flavor Residence by Ying Li Cheng was identified as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Natural Flavor Residence earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
