Movable Bookhouse
Movable Bookhouse is a residential interior design created for a family of three in an apartment of 220 square meters. The layout joins a play area for children with a comfortable long-term home. Two symmetrical wooden bookshelves take bookstores as a reference and give the open living space a sense of stability. Movable furniture keeps the floor free for activities. Concrete and marble textures form gray and white layers, supported by wooden tones. A cloakroom near the entrance, an open kitchen and double sound insulation add further comfort.
Movable Bookhouse Residential House by Yi Sheng Chang has been recognized as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Movable Bookhouse Residential House was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
