Burk Residence
Burk Residence is a private cottage interior design created for a lakefront site in Ontario, Canada. The single-storey retreat contains eight bedrooms and six bathrooms, with twelve-foot ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the forest and the lake. Timber construction and premium finishes support year-round use in a remote setting. A large deck with a canopy, a sauna, a gym and a cinema extend the living areas. The layout guides guests smoothly between quiet rooms, wellness spaces and outdoor gathering areas.
Burk Residence Cottage Interior Design by Nargiza Usmanova was featured as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Burk Residence Cottage Interior Design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award which honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
