K House
K House is a residential interior design for a 235 square meter home in Istanbul, Turkiye. The interior was stripped back to its columns, beams and load bearing elements, then reorganized into five bedrooms and two living areas. Fragmented and dimly lit rooms were consolidated into larger, flexible spaces with improved circulation and daylight. Layered ceilings and softened junctions increase the sense of height and spatial continuity. Porcelain stone, glass and sustainably sourced wood form a calm and durable material palette.
K House Residential Design by Deger Architects has been selected as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. K House Residential Design was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
