Tranquil Realm
Tranquil Realm is a residential interior design for an apartment of approximately 116 square meters in Taipei City. The home holds three bedrooms, two living areas and two bathrooms. A dark toned palette is combined with deep brown wood, stone and textured finishes. The living and dining areas are joined into one shared zone through a revised circulation plan. Curved ceilings and softened edges reduce visible spatial boundaries. A fluted glass screen divides the entryway while keeping visual transparency. The design offers a calm retreat from the noise of the city.
Tranquil Realm Residential House by Ian Tan was identified as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Tranquil Realm Residential House won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
