Xiaoman Hotpot
Xiaoman Hotpot is a restaurant interior of 800 square meters in Changchun. The design is inspired by the Chinese solar term Xiaoman and by traditional landscape painting. Raw wood, stone, and rattan are combined with handcrafted ceramics and celadon tableware. Partitions, screens, and platforms divide the open plan into layered seating areas. Vertical greenery and natural material installations add ecological art. Soft indirect lighting supports a calm atmosphere. The intent is to make dining a quiet cultural experience.
Xiaoman Hotpot Restaurant by Di Qin has been highlighted as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Xiaoman Hotpot Restaurant earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
