The Sear
The Sear is a fast casual restaurant interior in Amman, Jordan, covering about 60 square meters. The design is inspired by the searing process used in cooking. Stainless steel cladding and ceramic tiles were selected for durability, heat resistance and hygiene. Custom light signage and digital screens are integrated as architectural elements and guide ordering and movement. The open plan layout keeps the kitchen visible from the dining area. Modular components allow efficient installation, maintenance and future replication.
The Sear Fast Casual Restaurant by Sana Radwan was identified as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. The Sear Fast Casual Restaurant received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2026. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design competition that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
