Art and Numeracy Academy
Art and Numeracy Academy is an interior design for a children's mathematics learning center in Taipei City. The space covers about 200 square meters and hosts after school courses that link mathematics, art and science. The layout combines squares, triangles and circles with curved forms inspired by branching tree structures. Light wood textures and bright tones create a calm and modern learning environment. A multifunctional area under a large tree form supports reading and group work. Sinks and restrooms are placed at child friendly heights.
Art and Numeracy Academy Math Institute by Daisuke Nagatomo and Minnie Jan was identified as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Art and Numeracy Academy Math Institute was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2025. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award which celebrates exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
