Luxe
Luxe is a lounge bar located in Shinjuku Kabukicho, Japan. The interior is designed as a calm space, separated from the busy entertainment district outside. The walls of the main floor carry objects that combine steel frameworks with indirect lighting. The lower floor is lined with artworks and neon lights. Partitions with colorful flowers divide the seating and add color to the space. Beaten metal plates are used for tables and for the ceiling of the VIP room. Black mirrors line the aisles and some walls. The lighting is kept low so guests are not disturbed.
Luxe Lounge by Takahiro Todoroki has been featured as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Luxe Lounge won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that recognizes exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
