Contemporary Workspace
Contemporary Workspace is an office interior located in a developing area near Chandigarh. The project covers an open floor plan of about 8000 square feet, with circulation cores, columns and windows already in place. A brutalist material palette of exposed concrete, brick, wood and metal is used throughout. A monolithic concrete floor binds the workspace, while high ceilings, wooden blinds and a statement ceiling installation guide the eye. Glass partitions keep the areas connected, and yellow accents add interest to the working surfaces.
Contemporary Workspace Office by Studio Vasaka was selected as a grand illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Contemporary Workspace Office received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design prize that recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
