Chuan San Hao
Chuan San Hao is a hotpot restaurant built from genuine green-skinned train carriages. The carriages stand on parallel tracks laid along a wetland shoreline, so windows frame open views of the landscape. The original exteriors are polished and repainted to keep the authentic structure. The kitchen is placed in the middle carriage, linking passenger and private dining carriages to the north and south. An added intermediate space acts as an airlock, holding insulation, ventilation and a storage room for clothing. Private carriages include VIP and semi-private sections.
Chuan San Hao Train Hotpot by Y SPACE DESIGN CONSULTING FIRM was highlighted as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Chuan San Hao Train Hotpot won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2024. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which rewards exceptional design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
