Stylia Hair
Stylia Hair is a hair salon interior of 188 square meters located in Guangzhou. A central line divides the curved space into an office area and a display area, one in pink and the other in blue. A complete arc surrounds the central VIP room, where frosted glass partitions allow private conversation without a sense of separation. A continuous light source forms the ceiling. The main materials are floor glue, latex paint, glass and acrylic. The simple approach and the balance of light and shadow create a calm and lively setting.
Stylia Hair Store by Xiaobing Yao was selected as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Stylia Hair Store earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023.
