Gift of Sun
Gift of Sun is a residential interior design for a couple, covering 92.5 square meters in Taiwan. The layout includes a living room, dining room, kitchen, master bedroom, dressing room and a flexible study room. One bedroom was removed to enlarge the master bedroom and to add the dressing room. Gray tones, black iron parts and simple lines create a modern industrial character. The wall behind the sofa is finished with a cement coating that is odorless and scratch resistant. Suspended cabinets with grille fronts reduce the visual weight of the storage.
Gift of Sun Residence by Hsin Huang has been selected as an innovative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Gift of Sun Residence was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
