Balance
Balance is a residential interior design created for a family of three in Taiwan. The original three-bedroom plan was changed into two bedrooms to enlarge the living room, dining room and kitchen. The television wall is made of marble, while the irregular cabinets beside it use roller blind doors that allow storage and heat release for appliances. The wall facing the television offers display and storage and conceals the bedroom and balcony doors. The dining table is made of thick tiles with low water absorption, so the surface stays easy to clean.
Balance Residence by Hsin-Pei Chiang has been recognized as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Balance Residence won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition which rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
