Cat House
Future Deja Vu is a residential interior design for a single-story home shared by a young couple and four cats. The layout places human and feline routes side by side, separate yet connected. In the open public area, the television cabinet and corridor storage form exclusive passageways and a resting area for the cats. Peepholes and door panels allow care and observation while respecting the privacy of the cats. One bedroom is converted into a study and dressing room, with a passage reserved for the cats. Light gray, white and rose pink tones and flowing curves guide movement.
Cat House Residential by KAO SHIH CHIEH was featured as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Cat House Residential received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
