Helios Airport Brewery
Helios Airport Brewery is a brewery pub interior located in an airport terminal in Naha, Okinawa. The design lets visitors drink freshly brewed beer beside the brewing machines, which stand in full view. The theme is a factory laboratory, and the base color is a bright blue taken from the local sea and sky. Wood-grain materials in several areas create a calm and natural space. The facade uses steel plates finished with titanium-style art paint, so the flat surface remains visible from the lower floors. A sculpture made from used barrels stands behind the bar.
Helios Airport Brewery Amusement Pub by Shinjiro Heshiki was featured as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Helios Airport Brewery Amusement Pub earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2023. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
