The Meaning of Happiness
The Meaning of Happiness is a residential interior design for a 100 square meter apartment. The original small three-bedroom layout was replaced by an open plan that connects the study, living and dining areas. The living and dining rooms were reversed to enlarge the kitchen and the living space. A curved U-shaped entryway with a band of lighting guides movement and widens the view. Pale turquoise rattan cabinets, stone tiles with waterfall-like patterns, wood and small metal details complete the interior.
The Meaning of Happiness Residential House by Chung Yi Chun was recognized as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. The Meaning of Happiness Residential House received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design accolade that celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
