Beams of Light
Beams of Light is a residential interior design in New Taipei City, Taiwan, covering 414 square meters. An open-plan layout makes use of the large space and the windows on nearly all sides to divide common and private areas. Lattice elements at the entrance create a sense of order. A herringbone wooden floor guides movement, and a long hallway separates the earth toned dining area from the cool gray living room. Wood and stone give the interior a warm and calm character. The private rooms use wooden materials and natural light to support rest.
Beams of Light Residence by Teng-Sheng Tsao was identified as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Beams of Light Residence won the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design award that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
