YY Sports
YY Sports is a fitness club located in Shenyang, in northern China. The interior occupies the top floor of a sports store on a busy commercial street and covers 2000 square meters. The design theme explores the idea of the post-human, a figure shaped by technology and information. Figures were produced with three-dimensional modeling and three-dimensional printing to appear lifelike. Materials include stainless steel, glass, artificial wood, terrazzo, flame retardant fabric and rock wool, with an immersive LED screen. The site was surveyed before modeling.
YY Sports Fitness Club by Arthur Yang was highlighted as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. YY Sports Fitness Club won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
