Pure Life
Pure Life is a residential interior design for a 126 square meter home in Hsinchu City, Taiwan. The layout includes three bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, two bathrooms, a kitchen, a dressing room and a study. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring natural light into the rooms. A low chroma palette of black, white and gray softens color boundaries and adds visual layers. Stone, stucco and wood textures form a calm base, while wood is used more in the bedrooms. A projection screen replaces the television, and the former television wall becomes a cabinet for display and storage.
Pure Life Residential House by Kai Yueh Wang has been identified as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Pure Life Residential House earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
