Ten Ten Hunan Bistro
Ten Ten Hunan Bistro is a restaurant interior created for Hunan cuisine. The space seats 120 people and is organized around a bar, a dining area, private rooms and a service counter. Hollowed-out cabinets and staggered grilles make the irregular layout appear open and extended. Layered ceilings with iron elements and wood panels suggest a starry sky. Red slanted lights refer to the spicy taste of Hunan cuisine. Materials include teak, stone and iron parts coated with AR21 paint, which gives the metal a wood-like texture.
Ten Ten Hunan Bistro Restaurant by Hui-Chu Huang has been identified as an innovative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Ten Ten Hunan Bistro Restaurant was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program which recognizes outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
