The Hulking Mist
The Hulking Mist is a residential interior design for an apartment in New Taipei City. The original layout of four rooms and three bathrooms was rearranged into three rooms and two bathrooms, and a study was added. The kitchen is placed at the center of the plan and is linked to the dining area by glass sliding doors, so the public area can be opened or closed as needed. Grey, white, earth and grey-blue tones are combined with wooden flooring, marble and blue artistic tiles. The wall behind the dining table is covered with blue tiles that recall an ocean view.
The Hulking Mist Residential by Pei-Lin Hsieh has been selected as a creative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Hulking Mist Residential received the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design recognition program which honors excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
