Mellow Refined Residence
Mellow Refined Residence is a 165 square meter home interior in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The design blends simple Japanese and Nordic styles with a warm milk-tea and gray color scheme. At the entryway, wooden-veined grilles meet flooring with marble veins. Lotos cement covers the main wall for high moisture absorption and air permeability, which suits the humid local climate. Tawny glass divides the wall to open up the space. Toxin-free green materials are used throughout, and integrated cabinetry provides storage for a family of four.
Mellow Refined Residence House by YU CHUN CHENG has been recognized as an exceptional illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award. Mellow Refined Residence House was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program which celebrates excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
