Duo Yun Xuan Art Center
Duo Yun Xuan Art Center is a coworking space located in Shanghai. The interior occupies an irregular building with narrow areas and limited daylight. The name Duo Yun means cloud in Chinese, and the concept is expressed through abstract curved forms placed on different levels. These curved forms mark the functions of each floor and also serve as installations for art activities. Three primary colors and geometric abstraction recall the Bauhaus without copying its aesthetic. A red perforated aluminum panel beside the escalator activates the underground atrium.
Duo Yun Xuan Art Center Coworking Space by Yushe Design was featured as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Duo Yun Xuan Art Center Coworking Space was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
