Aroeira
Aroeira is a family house designed as a weekend and holiday home in Portugal. The house is set among pine forest and beach landscapes, and the design brings a sense of relaxation to daily routines. Large glass windows create constant contact with the outside and allow extensive natural light. The layout includes four suites, a mezzanine office, a living room, a dining room, a game room and a kitchen. All finishes and furniture were custom made with Portuguese carpentry. The fireplace wall and double height cabinets are integrated into the architecture.
Aroeira Living Space by Ana Rita Soares - Interior Design was featured as an outstanding representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Aroeira Living Space was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2022. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design award that recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
