Mercer Design Shanghai
Mercer Design Shanghai is an office interior of about 400 square meters in Shanghai, China. The design joins contemporary art with nature through the use of natural materials. The entrance is a deep door made of bronze metal, leading to a hall enclosed by wooden partitions. Natural light passes through the partitions and forms changing levels of light and shadow, so the hall is called the light box. Movable wooden grilles let work areas stay separate or open. Wood and marble keep their original texture, creating a warm and comfortable workplace.
Mercer Design Shanghai Office by Zou Hongbo was featured as an exceptional representation of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Mercer Design Shanghai Office was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious international design prize which honors outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
