Brimming of Art
Art and Chanson Overbrimming is a residential interior design for an apartment in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Unnecessary walls were removed to widen the shared area and to create a transparent ambiance. Wood look tiles, sintered stones, metal plates and white painted woodwork form a calm palette of low chroma black, white and grey. The television wall is built with metal and extends to the ceiling along the beams. Display cabinets, a piano and crystal pieces present the collection of the residents, in the manner of a small gallery.
Brimming of Art Residential by Hung Yu Chen was selected as an exceptional example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Brimming of Art Residential was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program which recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
