The Essence of Aesthetics
The Essence of Aesthetics is a residential interior design for a 150 square meter home in New Taipei City, Taiwan. Grey and black are used as the main colour tones instead of wood colour. Linear lighting emphasises the high ceiling and extends the view, supporting the minimal character of the space. The ceiling is finished with platinum plates, and the walls carry an Italian artistic coating with intricate patterns and textured surfaces. Walls in the living room and kitchen use Grigio Fantasy Travertine Antique stone. The project was completed in June 2019.
The Essence of Aesthetics Residence by HomeCheer Interior Design Company was featured as an outstanding example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. The Essence of Aesthetics Residence earned the Iron A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
