Wenzhong Liquor
Wenzhong Liquor is an experience center built inside a distillery workshop in Zunyi. A plank road connects the visitor route and links the brewing craft hall, the company culture hall, the wine storehouse trail, the central bar and the tasting area. The red tone of local Danxia stone and of sorghum, the brewing grain, guides the color scheme. Cement, steel and modern rammed earth form the interior surfaces, and these materials also resist fire. The original factory frame is low, so a second floor was opened in the core area to gain height and spatial presence.
Wenzhong Liquor Experience Center by Xin Ma was featured as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Wenzhong Liquor Experience Center won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that recognizes superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
