Nanning Haoyouyuan State Banquet
Nanning Haoyouyuan State Banquet is a restaurant interior designed for banquets in Nanning City, China. The layout draws on the traditional Chinese three-in-one courtyard system, which is deconstructed and reorganized into a semi-enclosed and transparent sequence of spaces. Large curved forms and metal grids divide the areas, so views remain connected while zones stay distinct. The facade combines a stainless steel structure with a large glass curtain wall, mirrored in a pool. Black, white and bronze gold tones are joined by wood finishes for a simple and elegant result.
Nanning Haoyouyuan State Banquet Restaurant by Liu Haodong has been identified as a creative representation of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. Nanning Haoyouyuan State Banquet Restaurant received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design recognition program that rewards superior design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
