Sooyou
Sooyou is a beauty salon in Harbin, China, designed mainly for female customers. The interior draws on the constant fission of cells in the human body, which is translated into spatial structures through geometric shapes and simple lines. Straight lines and curves are combined to outline large geometric blocks, and the fission of these structures creates varied experiences along the circulation routes while also providing privacy. Dark gray and black tones are enlivened by a red hue. The 450 square meter space uses cement paint, felt, wall finishes and stone panels.
Sooyou Beauty Salon by Peihe Xie has been selected as an innovative example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Sooyou Beauty Salon won the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design award which recognizes excellent design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
