Symphony of Lights
Symphony of Lights is a residential interior design located in Taipei, Taiwan. The home is arranged around a shrine, in which suspended shelves and side cabinets replace the traditional altar. Black, white and brown are applied in the public areas, following traditional Chinese color psychology. Large matte thin tiles, wire-brushed wood veneer and titanium-plated metal form the main surfaces. LED line lights are embedded in the wooden ceiling to balance natural and artificial light. A lowered central television wall divides the public areas and also serves as a study.
Symphony of Lights Residence by Yi Ta Lee has been highlighted as a grand example of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Symphony of Lights Residence was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2021. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design accolade that rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
