Meet Fun
Meet Fun is an Italian restaurant interior located in Taipei, Taiwan. The floor area is about 330 square meters, divided into a bar area, a dining area, a kitchen and a storage room. Materials collected by the client family, including old tiles, oak wood, steel plates and fair-faced concrete, were reused for the surfaces. The kitchen and the bathroom were repositioned to reduce unused space and to improve the flow. Clean lines and a light color tone create a bright and open dining environment that responds to the surrounding streetscape.
Meet Fun Commercial by Shih-Ming Liu was recognized as an outstanding illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Meet Fun Commercial received the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design recognition program that celebrates outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
