The Jinmao Yueshan
The Jinmao Yueshan is a property sales center in Wuxi, China, with a total area of 1300 square meters. The interior follows a new Chinese style that draws on local cultural elements. The layout places the sales space in the front area and the working space at the back. The design takes its inspiration from the nearby mountain and river landscape, Zen, the tea ceremony and calligraphic art. Marble, gray wood finishes, bronze stainless steel components, beige leather, hand-painted wallpaper and wire glass are the main materials. The materials were selected to suit a limited budget.
The Jinmao Yueshan Sales Center by Weidong Cao was identified as a creative illustration of architectural design by the A' Design Awards. The Jinmao Yueshan Sales Center earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Interior Space and Exhibition Design in 2020. The A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade which rewards outstanding design of residential interiors, restaurants, hotels, offices, galleries, retail stores, showrooms, exhibition spaces and more.
